MENTOR PROGRAM
We believe in second chances, personal growth, and the power of community. Our mission is to empower foster youth and formerly incarcerated individuals with the life skills, resources, and mentorship needed to thrive in society. We understand that the journey to success isn’t always easy, but with the right support, every individual has the potential to unlock a future filled with possibilities.
"The place in which I'll fit will not exist until I make it."
- James Baldwin
HOW WE MENTOR
Our mentorship program is designed to provide guidance, encouragement, and practical skills to those who have faced unique challenges. We connect participants with experienced mentors who understand the obstacles they face and are dedicated to helping them navigate life’s complexities.
For Foster Youth: Foster youth often face instability, trauma, and uncertainty. Our program helps young people develop critical life skills, build confidence, and find their path to independence. We support them in areas such as education, career planning, financial literacy, and emotional well-being, ensuring they have the tools to succeed once they transition out of the foster system.
For Formerly Incarcerated Individuals: Re-entering society after incarceration can be overwhelming. Our mentors provide a supportive environment where individuals can rebuild their lives. We focus on developing skills like goal-setting, conflict resolution, time management, and job readiness, helping participants find meaningful employment, rebuild relationships, and reintegrate into their communities.

"I decided to be a mentor because I know what it is like to face life on my own and looking back, I understand how important it would have been for me to have a positive peer association. I would like participants to walk away from each interaction feeling better than they did before. To feel optimistic about their future and understand that there are plenty of opportunities out there if you’re willing to work for them and show people who you really are."
- Adam Paoli, Mentor
